A team of us in London have set ourselves the challenge of completing 2.6 million steps before 26 August to raise £2,600 for West London Mission (WLM), to help them in their continued efforts to support some of the most vulnerable in society during the current pandemic.
We started on 26 July and, to date, despite the heatwave we’re currently experiencing in the UK, we’ve completed 1.3 million steps, so are on track to complete the challenge.
WLM – a long-time charity partner of Ropes & Gray’s London office – is now in greater need than ever. Like many charity organisations, it is experiencing great financial difficulty as a result of the pandemic and is trying to raise £50,000 by 31 August, to enable them to continue to support their vulnerable residents and keep them safe from COVID-19. To raise funds they have set up the 2.6 challenge.
