Sienna Hewavidana is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s anti-corruption and international risk practice group. Sienna advises clients operating in a number of sectors including healthcare, consumer goods and retail, financial services and technology.

Sienna’s experience includes advising clients on anti-bribery and corruption laws, anti-money laundering laws, export control, sanctions, and other regulatory issues. She regularly assists clients with conducting cross-border regulatory and internal investigations and helps clients conduct pre-acquisition due diligence and devises post-investment compliance integration plans.

Sienna trained at the firm’s London office and gained experience in the private equity, asset management, antitrust and anti-corruption and international risk teams.

  • Conducted an investigation on behalf of an international pharmaceutical company into whistleblower allegations
  • Represented private equity clients in conducting pre-investment due diligence and post-investment monitoring on targets in a range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, and healthcare
  • Assisted private equity clients and portfolio companies to enhance anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance policies and procedures
  • Assisted a leading healthcare company in the development of tailored export controls and sanctions compliance programmes
  • Assisted companies in assessing compliance with anti-money laundering and drafting and submitting voluntary disclosures to UK authorities
